The Jingle Box Tradition Continues

A complete Christmas meal made possible for many

After another challenging year, many families in Belize are struggling to meet day-to-day needs, and for some, a Christmas meal will not be a reality. In these times, the spirit of giving is especially important. For over a decade, Bowen and Bowen, and its Employees, have been consolidating their efforts for the Annual Jingle Box Food Drive. The Jingle Boxes, which are gifted to needy families across the country, contain all the ingredients for a complete family Christmas meal.

Bowen & Bowen’s Employees open their hearts and pockets each year to fund the boxes, and the Company matches the donations to ensure that as many families as possible can receive assistance. In total, Jingle Box volunteers pack and distribute just over two hundred boxes annually in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

The Jingle Box initiative is a collaborative effort with several charitable organizations, including St. Vincent De Paul Society, World Paediatric Centre, Belize Cancer Society, St. Martin’s Parish, Women’s Department, Hand in Hand Ministries, and Help Age, among others. These organizations help to identify and distribute the boxes.

This tradition of giving means so much more during a holiday season when the need is so great.
